The classic clickety-clack climb up the Blue Streak's first hill is what makes this wooden ride a coaster lover's paradise. With an out-and-back design, the Blue Streak has lived up to its tradition of combining exciting dips and negative G-forces for more than 42 million riders (through the 1993 season).
Celebrating its 30th anniversary this summer, the Blue Streak is the oldest existing coaster at Cedar Point. At their spring conference held at Cedar Point in May 1993, the American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE) designated the Blue Streak as a "Coaster Classic," an honor bestowed upon a very select number of wooden coasters.
